Rewind to 1998—a time when Quark Xpress was a designers nightmare and Friendster was still a thing. Itching for a change, I transitioned to web design armed with little more than Notepad and ambition. My inaugural website paid homage to Arthur Rackham, though admittedly imperfect, it marked the humble genesis of my journey.
Fast forward, and I ascended from Junior Designer to Art Director, But something was missing. I craved a deeper connection with my work, a sense of purpose beyond just pushing pixels. Enter UX design. It was like a lightbulb moment, blending my love for research with my knack for design. Suddenly, everything just clicked.
Beyond profession, UX design is a profound passion. When not engrossed in workshops, I'm immersed in psychology and art history texts, perpetually seeking growth.
Of course, it hasn't been easy. Keeping up with the ever-evolving design world is like trying to chase a moving target. But, I thrive on challenges and learning keeps things interesting.
I know what I do on a daily basis is not going to save the world. But if I can make someone's day a little brighter by crafting experiences that just make sense, then I'm doing something right.
